Visits and New Patients
What should I expect during my first visit?
Your first visit includes a comprehensive exam, digital x-rays and a thorough cleaning, plus time to go over your dental history and any concerns.
From there, we build a personalized treatment plan together. For a full walkthrough, visit our what to expect page.
How often should I visit the dentist?
We recommend a checkup and cleaning about twice a year for most patients.
Some patients benefit from more frequent visits depending on their oral health, which we will discuss at your appointment.
What ages do you treat?
We welcome patients age 12 and up.
Whether it is a first checkup as a teenager or ongoing care into adulthood, our team tailors every visit to where you are in your dental health.
How can I schedule an appointment?
You can call our office directly, book online, or stop by in person.
We will find a time that works with your schedule and confirm any details you need before your visit.
What should I do if I have a dental emergency after hours?
Call us at 718-550-3541 as soon as you can. We make every effort to respond quickly and get you seen.
Visit our emergency dentistry page to learn more about same-day emergency care.
Treatments and Technology
What technologies are used at your office?
We use digital x-rays, 3D cone beam CT scans, intraoral cameras, laser dentistry, digital scanning and chairside monitors to support accurate diagnosis and comfortable treatment.
Learn more on our technology and comfort page.
Are digital x-rays safe?
Yes. Digital x-rays use significantly less radiation than traditional x-rays and are a valuable, safe tool for diagnosis and treatment planning.
We only take the images we need to plan your care accurately.
What are dental implants, and am I a candidate?
Dental implants are a permanent way to replace missing teeth, acting as an artificial root for a crown, bridge or denture.
Whether implants are right for you depends on your overall dental health and bone density, which we can review together. Visit our dental implants page to learn more.
Can I get teeth whitening at your office?
Yes, we offer Opalescence Go take-home whitening, a professional system you use on your own schedule.
It is a simple, effective way to brighten your smile without an extra in-office appointment.
How can I maintain my oral health between visits?
Brush at least twice a day, floss daily, and use a mouthwash to help reduce bacteria.
Cutting back on sugary food and drinks, and avoiding smoking, also go a long way toward protecting your smile between visits.
Insurance and Payment
Do you accept dental insurance?
Yes, we accept most major PPO dental insurance plans and will verify your coverage before treatment.
Visit our insurance page for more details.
What payment options are available?
We accept cash, major credit cards and dental insurance, along with Cherry, which splits treatment into monthly payments with no hard credit check.
Learn more on our payment plans page.
Will I know the cost before treatment begins?
Yes. We take the time to walk through your recommended treatment and payment options before any work begins.
That way, there are no surprises once you are in the chair.
Do you accept Medicaid or HMO plans?
We are not currently able to accept Medicaid or HMO dental plans.
We do work with most major PPO insurance plans, along with Cherry financing, to help make treatment affordable.
